The Cost Of The War

As you can see from the above figures, the cost of the war continues to spiral. The cost of killing Sadaam, securing Iraqi oil and assuring carte blanche contracts to the likes of Haliburton, Bechtel, et al, COULD have:

Paid for 46,966,968 children to attend a year of Head Start.

Insured 212,335,757 children for one year.

Provided 17,190,268 students four-year scholarships at public universities.

Hired 6,145,277 additional public school teachers for one year.

Happy New Year!

Well, the Democratic controlled Congress will be in session later this week. Many are talking about various oversights and some are talking impeachment. Lets hope that this year will be the beginning of a more constructive and ethical Congress. More on that in a later post. Happy New Year everyone!
